So this is my first thread here on tonymacx68 and I am ready to build myself a stationary Mac. I had my Macbook (32-bit) for 5 years now and after that I bought an Adobe CS 5.5 package, I want a computer that can handle the software. I use photoshop, premiere and indesign After that I stumbled upon tonymacx86 I have been back and forth and today I want to hand out my list for you grandmasters before I send in my order. Could someone go through my list so I don´t spend 1500$ on uncompatible parts? The first five parts are just taken from the custoMac Pro builds, so that should be fine. Save money, get better features with Z77-DS3H - No DSDT at all, and sleep working You don't need to spend all that money on a quadro card, get an Nvidia 600 card (preferably the MSI 680 Lightning because I'm biased towards MSI and the world's champion overclocker uses it) for $600 and save yourself $150 to use on another portion of your build; even a 580 could probably handle what you want to do with adobe, and if you can get your hands on a GTX 690, I believe it's better than the quadro 4000 but they're extremely expensive and hard to find. I couldn't find that CL9 part for your ram but what it lead to won't work on a Hackintosh.
